Designed to help children explore the phases of the Moon, this printable PDF includes Montessori-inspired 3 part cards (nomenclature cards) for each of the 8 phases of the Moon:
8 control cards with picture and name
8 object cards with picture only
8 label cards with name only
The pictures are hand-drawn by me in ink and watercolour and appear in the book The Tree That Held The Moon.
The set can be used to help children build vocabulary and concepts. The control cards can also be used standalone as flashcards. For instance: print two sets and use them to play a game of matching pairs; order the cards in the order they appear in the moon cycle.
There are 4 cards per sheet, each a little under A6 in size.

I recommend printing on the thickest paper/card available. To print on reverse, use double sided printing and print all 8 pages. For front printed only, print odd number pages only.
