Discover the phases of the Moon with this wheel (printable PDF to construct at home). It includes two pages to print, cut out and connect using a split pin or similar fastening.  The wheel has simple annotation and shows the angle that the Moon is being viewed from Earth, the direction of the Sun, and the resulting Moon phase. This makes it really easy for children to understand why the Moon phases appear as they do.

This handheld wheel measures 16.5cm and is convenient to take outside on your Moon observation adventures.

The Moon pictures are hand-drawn by me in ink and appear in the book The Tree That Held The Moon.

Note, this wheel is part of the Moon Nature Study Bundle. If you would also like the other printables in the bundle, please purchase the bundle and not this item. The bundle is entirely free to customers that have bought the book The Tree That Held The Moon (Earth Friendly Edition) directly from me, so there is no need to purchase this item if you are also ordering the book. When I dipatch your book order, I'll send a personal discount code to use at the checkout.
